Specifically, the study determines whether the counsellor has a role to play in health psychology, determines whether counselors have an impact in health psychology and examines the roles of counselors in health psychology. The study employed the survey descriptive research design. A total of 30 responses were validated from the survey. The study adopted the Durkheim’s theory of Social Integration and Social Regulation. From the responses obtained and analysed, the findings revealed that the counsellor has a role to play in health psychology. Furthermore, counselors have an impact in health psychology. The study recommend counselling psychologists will eventually become an integral part of health care provision and, more important, patients will benefit from their presence and services. However, for a successful integration to take place, counselling psychologists must be properly educated. More so, Besides the existing opportunities and difficulties, counselling health psychology is a field with a great future. Health care will be faced with a number of challenges in the near future. Changes in education and training, research and practice (e.g., in the areas of behavioural genetics, telehealth, women and minorities issues, organ transplantation) are already taking place. Within this context, counselling health psychology has a lot to offer and a lot to gain.
